Spring and Winter are very different seasons, however many challenges they both have. Among those challenges are difficulties with seasonal food, appropriate clothing, and dangerous weather. These challenges have similarities, and they have differences. The way we respond to these challenges also differs from Winter to Spring.
In Winter, the weather is extremely cold. Fresh fruits like strawberries, melon, and grapes are very difficult and expensive to come by. Not that Spring doesn't have its fair share of issues. In Spring, it may be warm, but it rains a lot, making it difficult to not get wet. In Spring, apples, grapes, and pears are also very hard to get.
The ways that we respond to these challenges are sometimes very similar. In Spring, it rains a lot. To solve this problem we just wear a raincoat- a thin one, so that we don’t overheat. In Winter, it is very cold. We solve this by wearing a warm jacket. In Spring, it’s very difficult to get apples, grapes, and pears. So we eat other foods, like strawberries and cantaloupe. In Winter, there are no fresh strawberries, melons, or grapes, so we just eat imported food, or non- seasonal food, like pizza.
While there are differences in these two seasons, there are also similarities. Both have food that is not easily available in that season; in Spring, apples, pears and grapes are difficult to come by. Winter, it’s hard to get grapes, strawberries, and melon. Both seasons are pretty wet, what with Spring’s constant rain, and Winter’s snow and ice. However, these seasons are also very different. Spring may rain a lot, but it’s also very warm and sunny, hence the rainbows. I love both these seasons, because, while they are very different, they are surprisingly similar.
