It became stranger when he discovered the origin of the sudden surge of memories whenever it happened.
Eventually, though, he did become accustomed to suddenly remembering death.
He, of course, remembered the first occurrence.
Hands tucked into his pockets, his long legs stretched before him as he made his way across the pedestrian bridge.
His eyes locked with his toes, wondering why he had such big feet for his mere 15 years of age.
A sound startled him out of his haze.
His head snapped up, and at that moment he noticed someone standing on the mere edge of the bridge.
Shit! They looked ready to jump!
"Hey!"
The person only turned around, and Trooper got the first look at the man's face.
And he gasped when he realized- it was him!
What was he doing standing on the edge of a pedestrian bridge, ready to jump?
How could he be there?
Did he have a twin that he hadn't known about?
All these questions flooded Trooper's mind as he ran to try to catch himself, but he was a fraction of a second too late.
Falling. A sickening crunch. Car horns. Brakes. Blackness.
All these new memories were a flurry in his mind a few seconds after his clone jumped.
Shell shocked, Trooper could do nothing but freeze in place, wide-eyed, new to the terrifying experience of death.
